Ball Body Work sessions include a series of body work using a variety of rubber balls to release tight connective tissue and muscles, restoring healthy circulation and glide between layers. These sessions can help you move with ease, release tension, and relieve chronic pain.

Myofascial release is a hands-on technique to loosen, relax, and recover your body from physical and daily stress. This hands-on technique can increase mobility, reduce muscle tightness, and improve posture. These sessions include the use of multiple foam rollers and balls of a various shapes and sizes to massage and stretch localized areas of the body.

This session will teach you safe stretching techniques that will help keep your joints and muscles supple.  This class will include breathing exercises, body postures, and static stretching that will give you balance, relaxation, and relieve muscle tension. A short sequence of mat pilates exercises will also be included for core strength. Participants should come prepared to participate in loose fitting athletic clothing and bring water.

Getting back to Physical Activity after Knee Replacement Surgery

Knee Replacement

Inspire Train Fit can design a safe exercise program and help provide motivation for rehabilitation after a total knee replacement or knee surgery.

We know it’s important to listen to your body in this process; we start with light exercise and increase the intensity as your pain level allows.

 Exercise will help speed your recovery and can diminish your postoperative pain. Knee rehabilitation exercises and stretching enhance the mobility of the knee after surgery, decrease pain, increase muscle strength and disperse synovial fluid throughout the knee. Cardiovascular health can be addressed on a stationary bike that offers stability and a safe workout along with mechanical benefits for the knee joint.

  • Help regain normal knee motion
  • Help regain muscle strength and flexibility
  • Increase core strength and stability

Suggested exercises for recovery include:

  • Proper Walking 20-30 minutes 2-3 times per week
  • Standing Knee Bends 1-2 sets 10 reps
  • Assisted Knee Bends 1-2 sets 10 reps
  • Straight Leg Raises 1-2 sets 10 reps
  • Stationary Bike 20-30 minutes 2-3 times per week
  • Stretching Daily

Note: It generally takes 12 weeks to complete the rehab process and 6 months to a year to get back to full strength. Any exercise performed during the rehabilitative efforts should be approved by a doctor, orthopedic surgeon or physical therapist.

Growing your own wheatgrass is super easy. Here are the simple steps to grow your own wheatgrass at home.

Instructions on how to grow your own wheatgrass at home.

Step #1 Place wheatgrass in a container of water for 24hrs to soak. Soak overnight.

Step #2 Fill a pot or container half- way with organic potting soil or compost.

Step #3 Place soaked wheatgrass about 1/4″ on top of soil. Flatten wheatgrass into soil with your hands.

Step #4 Place pot in a sunny window. Direct sunlight is best to grow wheatgrass.

Step #5 Keep wheatgrass moist daily with a water sprayer.
